Courtney & Vicky LEFT BANK LEEDS WEDDING

In June last year I travelled to Leeds as Courtney and Vicky's Left Bank Leeds wedding photographer. They found me via a recommendation and it felt as if we clicked straight away when we met up for the first time. They travelled down to London for their urban engagement shoot, albeit on the coldest days of last February. We made the most out the day as they braved the cold and wind, and drinking copious amounts of hot tea to stay warm - coming to the blog soon!

The girls opted to have their couple photos prior to the ceremony so we headed up to the woods and captured some lovely calm couple portraits, followed by a few other locations that had special meaning to them. If you are a non-traditional couple, and not fussed about seeing each other in the morning, or are getting ready together, and you would like a longer and slightly more complicated couple portrait session then I can really recommend flipping the day on its head and heading out before the wedding ceremony.

Their equal marriage ceremony took place at Leeds Town Hall who have really brilliant registrars working there. Vicky and Courtney emerged in a shower of rose gold confetti, all individually cut by Courtney

LEFT BANK LEEDS WEDDING VENUE & CREATIVE ARTS SPACE

Left Banks Leeds resides in a beautiful gothic building, built in 1906-08 as St Margaret of Antioch Anglican Church. It is a creative space hosting exciting art events.  As a wedding venue, and from a Left Bank Leeds wedding photographer's point of view it is lovely and airy in the summer, with beautiful light, and plenty of space to move around. There is a lovely outdoor lawn for alfresco drinks and canapes, and fabulous dance floor to party till late.

The highlight of Courtney and Vicky's day was a surprise appearance by the Sea of Bees. They travelled all the way from San Francisco to play an intimate secret gig specially for their wedding party. Congratulations ladies, it was a brilliant, emotional, happy and fun day and thanks so much for having along!!
