Portmeirion Wedding Photographer | Shaina & Gwilym | Preview
Last month I was super privileged to meet Shaina and Gwilym, and to photograph their intimate wedding in Portmeirion. As someone who didn't grow up in the UK I was only vaguely aware of the TV series The Prisoner and had heard of Festival Six on the news last year, I briefly scrubbed up my knowledge by watching Jools Holland in Portmeirion. It was an amazing opportunity to shoot freely around this unique 'toy town' with amazing colourful backgrounds and faux facades, designed and built by Clough Williams Ellis.
Shaina and Gwilym married on this super sunny day and a bright blue sky in North Wales. Shaina had two wedding dresses to wear, and a stunning pair of red shoes traditionally given to her by her mum on the morning of the wedding. They had exclusive access to the Unicorn House which had the most beautiful natural window light, and the silver star wallpaper made a wonderful background for photography.
To Shaina and Gwilym, congratulations and thanks so much for choosing me, it was amazing spending the day with you and your closest family - here is a little preview of a few of my favourite images of the day and a full blog post will be up soon!
If you are planning your wedding in Portmeirion please get in touch! I LOVED photographing Shaina and Gwilym's wedding here, and it is well worth the journey from London! I specialise in alternative documentary style wedding photography and I love working with quirky and individual engaged couples. I'm based in London and will travel anywhere in the world to capture your wedding day!
